Lawyers observe 12-hour bandh, paralyse life in western districts

Sambalpur, Feb 5: Demanding establishment of a permanent High Court bench in western Odisha, several lawyers’ association of the region have called for a 12-hour bandh today. Government offices and shops and other business establishments have remained closed from the early morning. Besides, vehicles have stayed off roads. {"id":25828,"sizeSlug":"large"} Normal life was hit in Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Sonepur, Debgarh, Jharsuguda and Sunargarh districts due to full observation of the bandh. However, Kalahandi district lawyers’ association is observing the bandh partially. Members of Sabalpur bar association also staged protest at City railway station and Khetrajpur railway station in the town disrupting railway service for some time.
