Koraput girl bags two awards at virtual beauty pageant

Koraput, Sep 29: Sasmita Nag, a 21-year-old girl from Odisha’s Koraput district has brought laurels to the state after achieving a feat at a nation level beauty pageant, which was held on a virtual mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  

She has bagged two awards at the beauty pageant ‘IAWA MISS INDIA-2020’, a virtual beauty pageant organised by the Amarcine Production.

Sasmita has won the ‘Miss Intellectual’ title at Innovative Artist Welfare Association (lAWA) virtual beauty contest. She has also grabbed the fourth position at International Quarantine Princess.  

About 800 participants across the country had taken part in the online contest out of which 20, including the Koraput girl, were selected for the final round.  After passing through various challenges only 20 lucky women get selected for finale, which was held on September 20.

Sasmita is currently pursuing her post-graduation in Odia language at DAV College in Koraput.
