Khordha District Judge directs to work from home after staff tests Covid-19 positive

Khordha, Aug 4: Khordha District Judge on Monday directed the judicial officers, advocates and other staff to work from home after a court sub-inspector (CSI) tested positive for Covid-19. The court issued an notification in this regard on August 3 that directed the staff to restrict their court work to extremely urgent matters from their residence through video conferencing. “I am directed to inform that a CSI staff has been tested positive in the Court premises. To avoid the possibility of spreading of the disease among the Judicial Officers, Staff, Advocates, litigants and other stakeholders, the District Judge has been pleased to direct all the Officers to restrict the functioning of their court work relating to extremely urgent matters from their res office by utilizing video conferencing/virtual hearing (via Jitsi software) as far as practicable with minimal support staff as per roster till completion of the process of disinfection,” the notification read.
