Khordha admin asks ASI not to allow opening of 9 monuments in the district for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, July 5: The Khordha district administration has asked the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) not to allow the opening of 9 centrally protected monuments in the district in view of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The ASI had earlier announced to reopen the sites from July 6. The monuments which will not be opened from July 6 include Dhauli, Khandagiri, Udayagiri, Sishupalgarh and Raja Rani temple. Earlier the ASI has made e-payments for entry, parking and cafeteria mandatory for visiting ticketed monuments. Besides the ASI has also said that the visitors will be allowed to enter after hand washing and thermal screening.
