Bhubaneswar: The Kumba Mela, being observed at the sacred Khandagiri foothill here, entered second day on Wednesday. Rishis and Munis (saints and monks) coming from across the country are conducting yajna for world peace.
Chanting of mantra, long flames from yajna kundas and prayers of devotees have created a truly spiritual environment. The yajna would continue for a week, according to the schedule.
What attracts all from children to elderly people more is hundreds of various stalls put up there. While toy stalls are the main attraction of children, food stalls are there to attract youths. Jatra parties will continue to make the Khandagiri festival more colourful.
