Keonjhar MP Chandrani Murmu approaches Lok Sabha Speaker against OTV over breach of privilege

Bhubaneswar, Oct 19: Lok Sabha MP from Keonjhar Ms. Chandrani Murmu has sent a notice to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to initiate a breach of privilege proceeding against OTV for airing several false and fake news programmes from October 15 which are aimed at subverting truth and denying justice to her. Ms Murmu has stated in her notice that OTV reporters and others viraled a morphed obscene video of her with a malicious intent to defame, harass and mentally torture her. When police questioned OTV reporter Ramesh Rath who has been named by a junior OTV reporter as the perpetrator of this crime against Ms. Murmu, OTV using false and fake narrative based story is trying to save their reporter and concealing the truth that Rath is one of the perpetrators of the crime against Ms Murmu. {"id":76019,"sizeSlug":"large"} She has further stated that her privilege as a member of the Lok Sabha has been grievously affected and violated due to the OTV’s vicious and malicious propaganda with ill intention to derail the investigation which would ensure and provide her justice. She has sought the protection of the Speaker, Lok Sabha in this regard and requested that strong and strict action be taken against OTV channel and their promoters for this malicious intent to save its reporter Ramesh Rath.
