Bhubaneswar: The BJD won the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat and six of seven Assembly seats under it, according to the poll results announced by the Election Commission of India. Election to the Patkura Assembly segment has been postponed due to death of BJD candidate Bed Prakash Agarwall.
Party candidate Anubhab Mohanty defeated BJP candidate Baijayant Panda by a huge margin.
As for Assembly seats, Finance Minister Shash Bhushan Behera has grabbed the Kendrapara Assembly seat by defeating Congress candidate Ganeshwar Behera. Pratap Deb, Prasant Behera, Pratap Jena, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Dhruba Charan Sahoo have won Aul, Salipur, Mahanga, Mahakalpada and Rajnagar Assembly seats respectively.
