KALIA aid to 5L landless labourers on February 15

Bhubaneswar: About five lakh landless labourers will be given Rs 5,000 under the State Government-run KALIA scheme on February 15, informed Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Secretary Sourabh Garg here on Tuesday.

The ‘KALIA’ assistance would be credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries, he said.

The secretary further informed that the second phase distribution of KALIA assistance of Rs 5,000 will be paid to small and marginal farmers, numbering between 12 lakh and 14 lakh, on February 22.

The Government has claimed that about 12.45 lakh families were given assistance of Rs 5,000 under the “Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation” (KALIA) scheme in the first phase in January.
