Bhubaneswar: An elephant herd continued wrecking havoc in Patna forest range area in Keonjhar district for third consecutive day on Wednesday.
According to reports, a big number of pachyderms entered the Patna range area three days back. In these days, they have moved to agriculture fields at different villages and ate paddy plants.
Last night, the jumbos entered Tonda and Balituta villages and destroyed paddy plants acres of land. The herd had entered Lunga, Balituta and Gania Barei villages the preceding night and destroyed paddy crops on acres of land.
Villagers are in a state of fear as the elephants are still moving in the nearby Bada Deuli village.
