JNU Violence : Delhi Police releases photographs of 9 suspects including student union president Aishe Ghosh, who was severely injured

New Delhi, Jan 10: Delhi Police today released photographs of nine suspects in Sunday night JNU violence, which included varsity's student union president Aishe Ghosh, who herself was injured by the miscreants. She had reportedly sustained injuries on head and hands. The other suspects identified by the Delhi police included Chunchun Kumar, Pankaj Mishra, Yogendra Bhardwaj, Priya Ranjan, Vikash Patel and Dolan. Ironically, all of them had sustained bleeding injuries in the Sunday night attack. {"id":23712,"sizeSlug":"large"} Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police Joy Tirkey said no suspect had been detained in the case. However, they would be interrogated soon. Some mis-informations were being spread in connection with this issue. The registration of students was scheduled to be held between January 1 and 5. However, the student organisations like SFI, AISA, ISF and DSF were obstructing the students. Even the students who are making regisrations are allegedly being threatened. {"id":23713,"sizeSlug":"large"} After the controversy reached a flash point, there was attack on a few rooms in Sabarmati Hotel on January 5 night. A whatsApp group was also allegedly formed for committing violence. The masked persons had known to which rooms they would go. "Though the CCTV footage of the violence could not be available, we are identifying through the videos which had gone viral. We are speaking to around 30 to 31 witnesses on the basis of the viral videos", said Tirkey. {"id":23714,"sizeSlug":"large"}
