Jharsuguda shop owners’ union announces to close business for a week from tomorrow

Jharsuguda, Sep 25: The Jharsuguda District Merchant Association today announced that all shops and markets will remain closed for a week from tomorrow expect vegetable, grocery, fruit, fish, agg and meat shops that will open from 7 am to 12 noon following Covid guidelines. The decision has been taken unanimously by the association members following rise in Covid cases in the district, said the association president Hiralal Lokchandni. All medicine stores will remain open for 24 hours. The announcement comes hours after the district administration on Friday announced closure of roadside eateries for 15 days to contain the spread of Covid-19. Roadside vending of fast food and other ready-made cooked edibles will not be allowed for 15 days starting from today.
