Jaganath temple management committee decides to construct a 1000-room bhakta niwas and a gurukul at Matitota

Puri, 20/12: A bhakta niwas (low-cost lodging for the devotees) and gurukul for imparting education to the children of the sevayats will be constructed at Matitota in Puri town. The decision was taken at the meeting of the management committee of the temple administration held here today. It was decided that Sankaracharya and Gajapati Maharaja of Puri will be consulted about the performance of rituals. {"id":22283,"sizeSlug":"large"} Lord Jagannath's 46 acre land was located in Odisha and 60 acres across the country. Disciplinary action against the sevayats responsible for mismanagement in the conduct of rituals on December 27 last year was also discussed.
