IMD predicts intense rainfall after July 18

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted high intensity rainfall across the state after July 18. It also predicted that some parts of Odisha, especially south coastal districts experience thundershowers for the next 72 to 96 hours.

It also informed that due to the delay in arrival of monsoon, the State has received 17 per cent less rainfall than average this season. However it is expected that the intensity of rainfall may increase from next week.
