ILS Bhubaneswar to start Covid-19 testing from next week

Bhubaneswar, April 8: The Institute of Life Science (ILS) in Bhubaneswar has received the permission of the Department of Biotechnology, Governmnet of India for Covid-19 test. The institute today informed about the development to the State Health department. Officials said that the test for the deadly virus at ILS is likely to begin from next week. ILS Director Dr Ajay Kumar Parida said that as the testing will commence from next week and a mobile van is ready to collect the samples from the hotspots, created by the government. At present, samples of suspected Covid-19 persons are being tested at RMRC, Bhubaneswar, AIIMS, Bhubaneswar and SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has recently requested the Union Government to start the Covid-19 testing at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur and VIMSAR, Burla.
