Bhubaneswar: A low pressure area is likely to form over north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during next 48 hours. Under its influence rain/thundershowers is likely to occur at many places during next 24 hours and at most places in subsequent 48 hours over districts of Odisha, predicted the local Meteorological centre.
Today isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts in the State and isolated heavy rainfall over Angul, Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Puri and Khurda.
On Wednesday, the MeT predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over districts of north Odisha and Boudh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Nayagarh, Khordha and Puri with Isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj and Cuttack.
On Thursday, it forecast isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nuapara, Nawarangpur, Mayurbhanj and Bargarh.
Fishermen whoever in deep sea has been advised to return to coast by Wednesday evening. Fishermen are also advised not to venture into the sea along and off Odisha coast and northwest Bay of Bengal between Wednesday and Friday.
