Bhubaneswar: Five districts in Odisha have been issued orange alert as the India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the coming two days.
According to reports, the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar has predicted heavy rains to occur in Malkangiri, Koraput, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts on Monday and Tuesday.
The rains are likely to occur due to a low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal.
Fishermen have been asked not to venture into the sea and weather would remain rough during the coming two days.
The State has received four per cent less rains than normal occurrence by September 1.
