Headmistress suspended for dereliction of duty

Rourkela, Feb 20: The district education officer (DEO) on Thursday suspended the headmistress of Panposh High School in Rourkela for dereliction of duty . Acting on the order of the district Collector the DEO suspended the headmistress.   As per reports, the headmistress Manas Mohini Bal was suspended after she failed to upload the matric examination application form of a student due to which the student could not get the admit card to appear exam. The student had filled up the application form, however, the headmistress had not sent the form to the board, for which the student could not get the admit card and was unable to sit for the examination. Later, the student informed the district education officer and the Collector regarding the matter and then she appeared the examination after the Collector's intervention.
