Gold biscuit worth Rs 9 lakh seized from Bhubaneswar airport

Bhubaneswar, January 20:  Smuggled gold biscuits were seized from Biju Patnaik international airport here today once  again. The gold biscuits seized weighed around 216 gm and its approximate value is around Rs 9 lakh, said Customs department officials. {"id":24689,"sizeSlug":"large"} The smuggled gold biscuits were seized from a person from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, who was travelling in the Air Asia's AK31 flight.  Custom officials detained the person for interrogation. Bhubaneswar has become a hub of gold smuggling with smuggled gold seized  from the air port several times.
