Former Odisha MLA Anup Sai’s Narco test plea rejected

Raigarh , Feb 27: The Raigarh Chief Judicial Magistrate, Court on Thursday rejected the plea seeking permission to conduct narco test on the former MLA Anup Sai in the mother-daughter duo murder case.

On February 19, the CJM court had allowed Chakradharnagar police to take Sai and his driver on remand.

Mentioning that the police are taking the case very seriously, Bilaspur IGP Dipansu Kabra said, “The test will act as corroborative evidence to existing evidence against the accused duo- Anup Sai and Bardhan Toppo.” “Since this was a blind murder case with no eye-witnesses, hence building a solid case against the accused is important and that Narco test report will help build a stronger case,” he added.

Narco Analysis test is a kind of a psychological test in which a drug named sodium pentothal or sodium amytal is being injected dependent on the person’s sex, age, health and physical condition and the stage of the patient is monitored over the period of the test which is a kind of a dissociative test.
