Bhubaneswar, March 11: A five-storied food court, serving varieties of Indian, Chinese and Continental delicacies, was inaugurated in the campus of the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of the SOA Deemed to be University here on Wednesday. Christened ‘Food Colosseum’, the new facility was inaugurated by Ms. Saswati Das, Vice President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan. The food court has been launched at the initiative of the School of Hotel Management, SOA’s faculty of hospitality and tourism management. {"align":"center","id":30254,"sizeSlug":"large"} It would serve Malabar, south Indian, Mughlai, Hyderabadi and East Indian cuisine besides Italian, Spanish, Mexican and Oriental (Syrian and Afghani) food. The food court has four restaurants while a street food court would operate on the ground floor. {"id":30255,"sizeSlug":"large"} Besides, the complex would also have a Spa, Saloon, and Departmental Store besides a boutique. The food court would primarily serve the university students and staff including faculty members, the Dean, SHM, Prof. Sitikantha Mishra said after the inauguration. The university has several hundred foreign students from six different countries that are pursuing various courses. {"id":30256,"sizeSlug":"large"} SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ashok Kumar Mahapatra, Director, ITER, Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick, Dean, ITER, Prof. P.K. Sahu, Dean (Research) Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Comptroller (Examination) Prof. Manjula Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare), Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das and Medical Superintedent of IMS and SUM Hospital, Prof. Pusparaj Samantasinhar were present.
