Fire destroys 30 acres of sugarcane crop in Odisha

Dhenkanal, Jan 13: Standing sugarcane crop in about 30 acres was destroyed following an accidental fire in the district, police said on Monday. The mishap took place in Rangamatia and Hatuari villages under Badashala panchayat in Kamakhyanagar sub-division on Sunday. {"id":23952,"sizeSlug":"large"} A fire tender vehicle also caught fire while trying to douse the fire. The vehicle’s wheel and water pipe were damaged in the incident. {"id":23953,"sizeSlug":"large"} The losses is estimated to be more that Rs 10 lakh. There was no loss of human or animal life.
