Bhubaneswar: Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi today said that the ‘15-day’ financial assistance announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the cyclone and flood affected people in Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada will be directly sent to the bank accounts of the affected persons.
Sethi after attending a review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi at the State Secretariat here said that the district Collectors are preparing the list of affected persons and the financial assistance will be directly sent to the bank accounts of the affected people.
On Saturday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced relief for at least 15 days for all families affected by cyclone Titli and subsequent floods in Ganjam, Gajapati and Rayagada district.
“On an average, a family of four members will be assisted with more than Rs 3000 as relief. This, at the rate of Rs 60 per adult and Rs 45 per child per day,” said Patnaik.
