Fani Restoration: Oil India donates Rs 3.2 crore to Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Oil India Limited (OIL) today contributed Rs 3.2 crore to the Special Relief Commissioner for rebuilding Odisha post Cyclone Fani.

OIL general manager Rajeev Singhal donated Rs 3.2 crore in the form of a cheque to the SRC towards relief and restoration work being undertaken in the 14 cyclone Fani-affected districts in the State.

Singhal said that 1000 KL SKO will also be provided to the State free of cost.

Earlier today, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in response to a letter of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s demand of 10 lakh litre extra kerosene, said that he advised one of the PSUs under his Ministry contribute around Rs 3.2 crore (equivalent to 1000 KL SKO on cost basis) through CSR funds to the CM Relief Fund/State Exchequer to meet the requirement.”
