Bhubaneswar: The tropical cyclone ‘Fani’ is 510 kilometre away from Puri in the Bay of Bengal and is moving at a speed of 7 kilometre per hour now. It will make a landfall somewhere between Gopalpur and Chandivali on May 3 afternoon, according to the latest reports of the IMD.
At the time of landfall, the cyclone is expected to blow at a speed between 170 to 180 km per hour. The speed of wind blow would cross 200 kmph at some places too, predicted the India Meteorological Department.
The IMD predicted that ‘Fani’ is most likely to make a landfall near Puri.
