Explosion near school injures two kids in Ganjam

Ganjam: At least students today sustained critical injuries in an explosion near a State-run school near Magura UP School in Magura village under Aska police station in Ganjam district.

According to reports, the explosion took place at around 10 am when the victims – Raja Nakah and Tanmay Sahu of Class-VII – along with other students were on their way to school.

The duo noticed an unidentified object and rushed near to it. They collected it and threw it on the floor. Seconds later, there was an explosion leaving two students injured.

They were immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Aska in critical condition and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.

Meanwhile, local administration and police launched a probe into the matter.
