Bhubaneswar: At least eight places recorded temperature above 40 degree Celsius in the State today.
While Titlagarh was hottest at 43.5 degree Celsius, Jharsuguda recorded 42.6 degree Celsius, Bhawanipatna and Malkangiri record maximum temperature of 41.8 degree Celsius each. State capital Bhubaneswar and its neighbouring city Cuttack recorded 38.1 degree Celsius and 39.2 degree Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, the IMD has withdrawn the heatwave warning as coastal parts of the State witnessed thunderstorm with rainfall activity. The maximum temperature has also decreased significantly in coastal belt thereby brining relief from the sweltering heat wave condition.
