Bhubaneswar, March 22: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) today urged the passengers not to rush to the stations to claim the refund of their tickets purchased from counters. The ECoR also advised the passengers that there is no need to rush to stations/reservation counters immediately for claiming the refund of their tickets purchased from counters as Railways has extended the period of claiming refund from existing three days to three months. “Therefore, passengers will get sufficient time and should avoid going to stations during this crisis. Moreover, in case of trains cancelled by Railways, there is also no requirement of filling TDR. The passengers are advised to avail the extended period facility of refund and avoid rushing to railway stations immediately in order to check spread of coronavirus,” said an official.
