Kendrapara: The East Coast railway (ECoR) today conducted the trial run on the newly-laid railway line from Haridaspur-Kendrapara.
The trial run was conducted by a team official, including senior Railway Safety and railway officials and engineers. The team inspected technical areas and safety aspects of the railway track. It also tested the overhead electric connectivity.
As part of the trial run a pilot engine left Haridaspur station for Kendrapara’s Bajapur station at 9 am.
The team will submit a final report to the Railway Ministry department on Safety parametres of the track and fix a date to begin regular train service on the 82-km Paradip-Haridaspur route.
