Doctor engaged in Covid-19 duty dies in Bhubaneswar, tests negative for coronavirus

Bhubaneswar, April 27: A resident doctor working with a city based private hospital and engaged in Covid-19 duty died today. However, the doctor has been tested negative for Covid-19. The deceased was on steroids for last one year while he has also developed symptoms of breathlessness for last one month. Sources said that despite his health complications, he has been assigned for Covid-19 duty in a city based Covid Hospital. On the other hand the authorities of the private hospital said that he deceased had done duty for only one day in Covid ward. “He was diagnosed of dilated cardiomyopathy with multi organ dysfunction. This has nothing to do with coronavirus,” said a doctor of another private hospital where the deceased was undergoing treatment.
