Hyderabad, Mar 27: A doctor couple with no foreign travel history has been tested positive for COVID-19 in Telangana.
The couple, a 36-year-old woman and her 41-year-old husband, was working in the same private hospital.
Both have been admitted to a designated COVID-19 treatment hospital and their condition is stable, a health official said.
The state government said it has intensified surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures to check spread of coronavirus.
The Health Department has directed all foreign returns to undergo a 14-day-long home quarantine from the time of arrival in India, irrespective of having any symptoms or not.
