DMET asks AIIMS Bhubaneswar to accommodate Covid-19 patients in its 200-bed dedicated facility

Bhubaneswar, July 5: In a bid to avoid congestion in State-run COVID hospitals, the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) has written to the director of  AIIMS, Bhubaneswar to accommodate coronavirus infected persons in the 200-bed dedicated facility at the institute. “It has been observed that in last five days attest ten numbers of Covid-19 positive cases have been detected in your OPD and IPD. All such cases have been shifted to the IMS SUM Hospital Bhubaneswar or KIIM Bhubaneswar. In this connection it is pointed out that a 200 beded Covid- Hospital with 20 ICU has been set up under AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Govt. of India Portal. Hence it is requested that such Covid- 19 positive cases may please be accommodated at your level to avoid congestion in the state run hospitals,” read the letter from the DMET.
