Dipali’s death still shrouded in mystery; where is her fiance Bikram ?

Bhubaneswar, 20/11: The death of lady lawyer Dipali last month on the city outskirt is still shrouded in mystery. Police is still clueless about the cause of her death, if she has committed suicide and who was behind her mysterious death if she was murdered. Especially, the absence of her fiance Bikram, who had spent the evening with her on the day of her death, has baffled all. Police has no clue about his where about. Dipali, who was practicing law at Bhubaneswar, was staying in a rented house at Lingipur under Dhauli police station on the city outskirt. Her marriage had been fixed with Bikram, a cosmetic trader at Balasore. He was regularly coming to meet her. Even Bikram was present in her Lingipur house on the day of her death and he was the person who intimated her sister about her death. On October 19 night, she was found hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of her dupatta.Though Dipali’s body was found hanging, her family members had disbelieved the suicide theory as she was excited about her marriage. They suspected that Bikram had killed her, as a liquor grass and burnt cigarette butt was found from near her body. The family members of Dipali had suspected that Bikram had killed her as he was with her till night on the day of the incident. Both had spent the evening together planning out about their marriage celebration. Dipali had intimated her sister over phone about the happening. So it is hoped that Bikram’s arrest will unearth the mystery behind her death. He will be able to tell what had transpired between them before Dipali’s death. If at all it’s a case of suicide, it is baffling as to why did she hung herself, when she was in such happy mood as she was about to marry. Why Bikram, who was present at the spot, did not stop her from committing suicide ? Or, Bikram had abetted the suicide ? It is suspected that Bikram had some what hurt Dipali which led to her suicide. Sources said that Bikram had telephoned Dipali from Balasore on the day of her death. During the telephonic conversation, he might have spoken something which had prompted her to commit suicide, it is suspected. If this angle is to be believed, the phone call of Bikram would have unearthed the mystery behind Dipali’s death. Dipali’s family members claimed that Bikram was responsible for her death. Bikram, who was running cosmetic business at Balasore, was reportedly hiding in his village Balukhand  in Balasore. It was intimated to Dhauli police by an informant. But he gave a slip during the police raid. As he was doing cosmetic business in the district, he had obviously acquaintances at many places across the district. So he might be hiding at some place in the district, or he might have moved outside the district after the police raid, it is suspected. Bikram’s mobile phone remained switched off from day of Dipali’s death. However, his phone was getting switched on for some intervening period. Though his location could not be tracked yet, some people said to have seen him at Balasore. On the other hand, two police teams have returned empty handed from Nagpur and Pune in Maharashtra and Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. Police had zeroed in on these places as Bikram was procuring cosmetic materials from these places. The police team returned clueless after visiting the hotels in which he used to stay. Meanwhile, two mobile phones of Dipali have been unlocked, which have provided clues to the police. The whatsApp chats have also thrown some light. But investigating officials said it would not be possible to solve the mystery unless Bikram is arrested.
