Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today wrote to External Affairs Minister S Jayshankar seeking the latter’s personal intervention in release and immediate repatriation of 10 Odia people held captive by their employer in Dubai.
Pradhan, who hails from Odisha, sought the intervention of the External Affairs Minister after they released a video on social media seeking help from the central Government.
“It is revealed that 10 people who were working in the Asia Pacifi Building Contracting LLC, Dubai and accommodated at Sajja, Sharjah are kept captive. They released a viewo, about a month back for help for their immediate repatriation and their mobile humbers are now deactivated. Further it has been ascertained that these men belong to Nayagarh and Ganjam districts,” wrote Pradhan.
Pradhan urged MEA for the immediate repatriation of the victims to India on humanitarian grounds.
