Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today came down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for poor preparedness for to deal with the cyclone Titli and subsequent rains leading to floods in the State.
“You (Naveen Patnaik) were busy in a photo shoot for Hockey World Cup-2018 branding when people of the State were in distress. You were also busy in self promotion at the KBC when people were in dire need of help,” Pradhan said in a Facebook post.
“Your slogan of zero casualty remained only in pen and paper and you did nothing,” added the Union Minister, who hails from Odisha.
Pradhan also blasted Food and Consumer Welfare Minister Surya Narayan Patro for his ‘irresponsible’ statements on the tragic Gajapati landslide mishap in which 16 persons were killed.
Earlier, Patro had stated that there was very less casualties during Cyclone Titli in the State in comparison to the death of 170 people in similar natural disaster in the USA recently.
