Rayagada: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today laid foundation stone for a LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) bottling plant in Rayagada district today.
The plant to be set up by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a Navaratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will have a capacity of filling 42 lakh cylinders per year in Rayagada to meet the growing consumer needs.
The Union Minister who visited Rayagada district today also inaugurated railway foot over bridges at Rayagada, Ladda and Jimidipeta for the convenience of passengers in the region.
He also inaugurated post office passport Seva Kendra at Nabarangpur through videoconferencing. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister announced formation of new postal division in Rayagada.
Pradhan also reiterated Central Government’s commitment for the development of Odisha in all spheres. He said the new projects initiated today will have a great impact on people in the region.
