Dhabas on NH in Odisha to remain open for goods vehicles during lockdown

Bhubaneswar, March 25: In a bid to ensure unhindered movement of goods during lockdown, the Odisha government has decided to keep open dhabas besides the National Highway (NH) and State Highway (SH). Besides the government has also decided to ensure functioning of vehicle repair shops and spare part shops on NH and SH.   A direction in this regard has been given to the concerned district collectors. They have been asked to grant permission to these eateries and shops in every 20 kilometers. The state government has also been directed to ensure that no goods vehicle is stopped by anyone. “No passes are required for any goods vehicles across Odisha including Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.  Police will conduct highway patrolling to ensure that there is no congregation in dhabas,” said an official.
