DGP reviews the security arrangements at Barabati Stadium; players will do net practice tomorrow

Cuttack, 20/12: Director General of Police Abhay today reviewed the security arrangements for the India-West Indies cricket match to be held at Barabati Stadium here on coming Sunday ( December 22). "A large number of police forces have been deployed for maintenance of security and law & order. I am confident that good security arrangements have been done, " said the DGP after conducting the review. Bomb disposal squads will conduct security check of the pitch and gallery before their net practice. Gallery No 6 will remain open for the general viewers. Besides, large scale deployment will be made in and outside the stadium. {"id":22262,"sizeSlug":"large"}  The West Indies and Indian teams had yesterday arrived at Bhubaneswar and stayed in a star hotel in the city amidst tight security.. Today they were supposed to come to the stadium for net practice. But the net practice programme was postponed to tomorrow. The players will take rest today and do their net practice tomorrow. The West Indies team will have net practice tomorrow from 9 am to 12 noon and Indian players will practise from 2 pm to 5 pm. {"id":22263,"sizeSlug":"large"} Practice pitch has been kept ready for the net practice. New carpet has been laid on the route through which players will go to the Stadium. New look has been given to the dressing room and corporate box. Special arrangements have been made for welcoming the players. Flex posters of the players have been installed around the stadium.
