Bhubaneswar: Devotees have started thronging Brahmagiri to pay obeisance to Lord Alarnath as the very alternative of Lord Jagannath, who fell ill after taking a bath on Snana Purnima yesterday.

It is a long years’ belief that devotees get equal satiation by seeing Lord Alarnath instead of Lord Jagannath during the Latter’s 15-day stay in Anasar Ghar after Snana Purnima.

Accordingly, there has been a heavy rush of devotees at the Alarnath Temple in Brahmagiri since this morning.

Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will resume giving darshan to devotees after Their stay in Anasar Ghar. The first day ritual is called Nabajauban Darshan. The annual Rath Yatra will begin the following day.
