Bhubaneswar, Jan17: Dense fog engulfed the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar on Friday and the visibility at the Biju Patnaik runway was below 50 metres. Railway services were disrupted owing to a thick blanket of fog. According to reports, over five trains have been delayed. Reports say some flights have also been delayed, but it is yet to be confirmed. Vehicular traffic movement was badly hit during the morning hours and early office goers of the twin cities are the biggest sufferers due to the inclement weather. No mishap has been reported. The fog descended late on Thursday night and continued well into morning hours of Friday. This is a spell of dense fog condition and may prevail in the state for next two-three days, informed a Met official.
