Delhi violence: Five killed, situation very tense

New Delhi, Feb 25: Five people, including a cop, were killed and around 50 injured after a violence broke out in north-east Delhi on Monday between anti-CAA protesters and pro-CAA group. Protesters for and against the controversial citizenship act started pelting stones and set ablaze vehicles and shops over the group clash. Delhi police said that fresh stone-pelting incidents were reported this morning in Maujpur and Brahampuri areas and the situation remains very tense. Five Delhi metro railway stations in north-east district, where violence broke out on Monday, have remained closed today. Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with senior Delhi police officers late last night on law and order situation.
