Deepika Padukone visits JNU campus to express solidarity with the varsity's students

New Delhi, Jan 8: Noted film star Deepika Padukone visited Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus to voice protest against the Sunday violence in the campus and express solidarity with the varsity students. {"id":23387,"sizeSlug":"large"} A few celebrities of Bollywood have reacted against the violence in the JNU campus on January 5, in which miscreants attacked the varsity students and teachers. Some of them have expressed concern over the Sunday incident, while some others staged demonstration. Deepika has gone one step ahead by visiting the varsity campus. {"id":23388,"sizeSlug":"large"} Deepika was seen in the JNU campus with a few leaders and students. She also spoke to the students present in the varsity campus and expressed her sympathy and support to them. The students were shouting slogans "Jay Bhim"and "Jay Bhagat Singh". {"id":23389,"width":594,"height":461,"sizeSlug":"large"} The Bollywood star was also seen with the JNU student union president Aishe Ghosh. However, Deepika did not speak anything on the JNU incident. Deepika was in New Delhi for two days for the promotion of her upcoming film, "Chhapaak". However, she did not speak anything on the film as the atmosphere there was very hot.
