Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: The Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) has slapped notice to DCP (traffic) in connection with the death of a five-year-old boy who reportedly died after the ambulance shifting him to a Patia based private hospital got stuck in the traffic on Tuesday. The Commission has asked the DCP to submit a report within seven days. Besides the Commission has also asked the authorities of the Capital Hospital to furnish a report on the incident. OSCPCR Chairperson Sandhyabati Pradhan said that authorities of Capital Hospital and commuters on the road are equally responsible for the mishap. “This is a serious issue as traffic has been streamlined in the city. Had the engaged traffic cops on-duty been responsible, life of the boy could have been saved,” she said.
