{"id":21129,"sizeSlug":"large"} Bhubaneswar, 28/11: The deadline for the enforcement of amended traffic rules may be extended. This possibility is being discussed at the top administrative level. The amended traffic regulations had been enforced strictly three months ago, But it was relaxed for three months in view of the public-police face-off at several places across the state. The enforcement was scheduled to resume from December 1 and heavy rush is being witnesses at various regional transport offices to obtain the required documents. {"id":21130,"sizeSlug":"large"} Today, a long queue was even witnessed at the Bhubaneswar RTO-1 office. Similar rush is being seen at various RTO offices for the last few days. But there is no let up in the rush, which indicates that the issuance process of documents has not been over. {"id":21131,"sizeSlug":"large"} Against this backdrop, a high level review meeting is going to be held under the chairmanship of Transport Minister Padmanav Behera. It will be decided at the meeting as to whether the deadline will be extended or not. It is apparent from minister that the deadline may be extended again. “We are seeing heavy rush in RTO offices for obtaining the documents. We are closely monitoring the situation. If necessary, we may extend the deadline”, said Transport Minister Behera.
