Cuttack, Mar 31: The Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank Ltd has contributed Rs two crore to the Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for fight against deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Additionally, employees of the bank also contributed one day salary which is equivalent to Rs 2.27 lakh.
Banks President, Vice-President and all members of committee of management also contributed Rs one lakh to the CMRF.
A team led by Birendra Pratap Swain, President, Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank Ltd, handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik in presence of Ranendra Pratap Swain, Minister, Food, Consumer affairs, supply and cooperative.
In a statement released by the Cuttack Central Co-operative Bank Ltd on Monday, Swain said that “As a responsible financial institution, we contribute Rs 2 crore to the CMRF to empower the state for fight against COVID-19 and to control the situation”.
