CUO admissions 2020-21 in progress: Central Universities Common Entrance Test begins today

Koraput, Sep 18: The Central Universities Common Entrance Test-2020 (CUCET-2020) is a Joint Entrance Examination for admission to different programmes in 14 Central Universities and 4 State Universities all over the country has been started on 18 September and will continue until 20 September 2020. The examination is being conducted in 141 cities across the country including 13 cities of Odisha. COVID Protocol is being strictly followed. The Central University of Odisha (CUO) is offering 30 programmes through its 14 Departments for its 2020-2021 Admissions. Prof. S. K. Palita, Chairman of the Admissions Committee said “the University stands for equity and excellence in Higher education, even while enabling across regions and states students to access the best Universities in the country’’. Dr Jayant Kumar Nayak, Controller of Examinations expressed his satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the Examination at various centres. CUCET is being conducted from September 18 to 20, 2020 in two shifts daily (Shift-1: 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon and Shift-2: 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm) .The examination is meant for three categories of programmes, namely, UG Integrated Programmes (UI), Post-graduation Programmes (PG) and Research Programmes (RP). The Test is being conducted for 72 UI programmes under two test codes (UIPQ 01, UIPQ 02); 344 PG programmes under 59 types of test codes (PGQP 01 to 59) and 271 RP programmes under 64 types of test codes (RPQP 01 to 64). Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the CUO is taking best care of possible as required for the successful conduct of the examination as per the guidelines of UGC and MHRD Government of India, and the Government of Odisha. For hassle-free conduct of examination, transportation facilities have been provided by the University from the nearest town and back at the CUO campus. Special care is being given to differently-abled candidates. CUCET-2020 envisages 100 per cent inclusive policy for accommodating all the candidates.
