Cricket players arrive at Bhubaneswar by special plane; DCP says tight security arrangements have been made for them

Bhubaneswar, 19/12: While  the West Indies and Indian cricket teams arrived at the Biju Patnaik international airport here today , the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Bhubaneswar city Anup Kumar Sahu said tight security measures had been taken at the airport, Barabati Stadium and their place of stay. Also tight security arrangements had been made for escorting them during their transit,  said the DCP adding that 21 platoons of armed police forces have been deployed for the security of the players. India and West India cricket teams will play the third one day international cricket match at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on coming Sunday (December 22).The players will do their net practice tomorrow. DCP Sahu said round the clock security would be provided to the players at their place of stay, Hotel Mayfair Lagoon. Officials of the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) and the officials accompanying the two teams were being kept in touch to draw up the security plan of the players, said the DCP.
