Balianta, July 26: Even though the state government has allowed corona positive cases with mild symptoms for home quarantine in both rural and urban areas, the locals Sarkana village under Balianta block have opposed three members of a family for home quarantine, who have tested positive for coronavirus.
According to sources, three members of the family, including an elderly woman, a youth and a minor, have tested positive for the virus. Later, an ambulance had also arrived in the village to shift the COVID positive cases to a dedicated hospital, however, the family of the corona infected persons have denied of shifting to the COVID hospital as the elderly woman has some other health issues.
On the other hand, the local residents have opposed them after ambulance returned without the corona patients.
On being asked the local sarpanch said, “an elderly woman, a minor and a youth of the family have tested positive for coronavirus. As the old woman has some other health issues, they have been allowed to remain in home quarantine.”
