Cuttack, Oct 27: The low-key Durga Puja celebrations have come to an end as idols of Goddess Durga and side gods and goddesses are being immersed in make-shift temporary lakes here today adhering corona regulations.

Elaborate arrangements have been made in silver city to ensure a smooth idol immersion ceremony starting from 10 am to 6 pm with restrictions on the social gathering.

This year the residents of Cuttack bade silent adieu to Goddess Durga as any kind of music including gongs and loudspeakers are not allowed during the pandemic.

Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh on Monday had said that Durga idols belonging to 26 community puja pandals will be immersed in 14 temporary sites in different parts of the silver city.
