Bhubaneswar, Sep 9: Home Isolation has become more useful for the asymptomatic and persons with mild symptoms who are identified as Covid positive. But persons with comorbidities are advised to avail treatment in hospitals in the state.
Prof Dr Jayanta Panda, Specialist, SCB Medical College, Dr. Pranjyan Rout, Specialist, CARE Hospital and Dr. Amarendranath Mohanty, Director, SIH&FW, during press briefing today said, “Use of mask, gloves and sanitizer along with relevant precaution measures must be maintained by the patients and the attendant during Home isolation.”
While 80% people without symptoms are tested Covid positive, they can undergo Home Isolation adhering to health guidelines. If more symptoms develop or illness increases, the patients are advised to come to hospital after consultation with doctors.
Persons recuperated from Covid should take healthy food, multi-vitamins and practice breathing exercise for 15-20 days to increase their immunity.
