COVID-19: 4-day shutdown in Balangir from July 31 to August 3

Balangir, July 30: Balangir Collector Arindam Dakua has ordered 4-day shutdown in the district from July 31 to August 3 in view of rising COVID-19 cases in the district.

The Collector said that the four days shut-down with restrictions on intra-district public and private transport and closure of shops and establishments, government and private institutions and movement/assembly of people.

During this shut down, all medical establishments including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, including medicine stores and movement of Ambulance and all medical personnel, District (Emergency) and Municipal Administration/Police/Fire Services, Cetral and State Government Officials on emergency duty, Telecom services, Petrol Pumps, Print and Electronic Media, Water Supply, sanitation and sewerage workers, Electricity supply and distribution, Movement of’ goods and good carriers whether loaded or unloaded and industrial establishment, factories and construction activities would be allowed.
